2000 Volume 6.1, Winter Survey Researchers Find Rare Volcanic Features—Kimberlites . . . provide clues about the deep subsurface: snapshots of an otherwise inaccessible part of the earth. Volume 6.2, Spring Seismic Research at the KGS—Survey researchers have experimented with seismic reflection techniques to produce sharper images of subsurface features previously considered too small to image, especially in the few humbred feet closest to the surface. Volume 6.3, Fall High Plains Aquifer Atlas—These maps project how many years it will take to deplete certain regions of the High Plains aquifer.
