Common Fossils of Kansas--Rhynchonellid Brachiopod

Upper Pennsylvanian

Wellerella

Wellerella, shown slightly enlarged, is a small rhynchonellid brachiopod. It is typically small, globular, with a pointed pedicle beak, and a moderately well developed fold and sulcus. It is primarily classified upon internal features. (Drum Limestone, Upper Pennsylvanian)
